Haha, just like the (now defunct) Food Court Productions predicted. 
What a riot! :D

I'm still laughing... after all, Gainax are major sellouts and we've 
learned to live with that, how is this any different? With any luck, 
it'll boost Evangelion's popularity, like inferior The Ring did for 
Ringu (but, of course, only after Ringu was renamed "The Ring 
original").

But personally, I don't think there's anything to worry about. They'll 
probably shelve it halfway through due to lack of money, time or 
patience and nobody will ever hear of it again.
