I think will all depend largley on what they do with the story and the
modifications they feel they will need to make.
If they stay true to the story (ie not removing "questionable material")
then it should turn out alright.

Well, as long as we don't get "Rain Anderson" and Dan Ackroyd at the
helm, I'll be happy.
Seriously, though, WETA has shown an attention to detail in their
work that impresses me. They have shown that they grok the project
they're working on on a fundamental level. Maybe that attention to
detail and care will be passed back and forth to the on-set crew, and
we get a quality product.
Or maybe I'm just a wild-eyed idealist.
I've wanted to see what a live-action Eva might be like for years now
- I suspect that this'll be found wanting compared to what I imagine.
But I'm interested to see what comes of this.
