 With Rei II (was there a Rei 1 in the manga?) having more character, like
 both combined anime Reis maybe, I hope *this* Rei is the only 1. Make a
much
 better story and give more meaning & impact to whatever Sadamoto has in
 store for her eventually.

 How about Shinji, Asuka AND Rei surviving at the end. (Misato would be nice
 too, with a suitably aged male companion for her).
