And did you notice the younger chick with the amnesia has a
marked resemblance to Rei? I bet a lot of sales were made
on the implied yuri angle between a blonde version of
Misato and brown-haired version of Rei. :)

I lucked out on both counts. Saw the movie fansubbed
without knowing jack about it, same with Hellsing. "It's
about vampires? Cool!" Lack of hype *vastly* improves the
viewing experience of just about anything. 6th Sense and
Matrix were both seen without knowing anything about either
movie aside from friends saying "go see." Best way to do
it. 

The one thing I'll say about Hellsing is that it seemed
like half a story. I heard that a sequel is in the works so
I'm guessing they only told a portion of the manga
storyline?

My one question: who would ever want to work as a soldier
for Soldats? I won't go into too many spoilers but their
entire purpose in life seems to be to die for stupid
reasons. :)
