[EVA] [gainax] FLCL volume 01

Oh, I understand that kind of thing. What parts do you like
about it? Sure, the animation is extremely high quality.
The character designs are not exactly what I would call
endearing but I assume it's done in the same way as
everything else that appeals. 

So, what is it that you like? The story? (I still don't
know what's going on.) The jokes? (I have trouble figuring
out when they're trying to be funny.) The character
development? (was there any?) 

I just get really confused when animes I think are total
dogs end up praised by all and sundry. Key the Metal Idol
and Noir I thought were both total turds and yet I've found
nary a negative comment on the net. I'm just curious as to
what other people are seeing in them that I'm not.
