     After about a week and a half of combing DFW, I just managed to get 
my hands on the first FLCL DVD yesterday, and since so many off the Eva 
crew worked on it I thought I'd pop off a few thoughts- keep in mind 
these are the demented and incoherent rambelings of a equely demented 
otaku, and might not be up to profesional critical level ^_^

The voiceacting: beter than average. the voices are a little odd for the 
first few minutes, till you realize they seem to fit the characters to a T

The animation: *drool* (nuff said)

The dub overall: much use of sufixes and japanese words, and although 
the wordplay in the manga sequence in Ep1 dosnt quite work in English, 
overall I was impressed- you'd think a bunch of fanboys were behind the 
english script- they did a hell of a job

while I'm thinking about it-- acording to the slipcase, the director is 
also responsible for such things in Eva as

A: the 12th "magic floating sphere thingie" angel

B: the "lets have shinji sitting in a train while he talks to hisself" 
sequence

and C: having Air playing as Asuka unloades a sixpack of whoopass on the 
MP series


anyway, off to watch Episode 2 now that the DVD player is free from the 
evil clutches of the houseguests--
