I take issue with your categorizing Manga as disreputable. I've found them
to be very reputable and their products to have high production values.
Some of their early DVDs have glitches, but everybody I know of has
positively raved over the sheer amount of crap they have stuffed onto
their DVD release of Royal Space Force. I have also greatly appreciated
the effort they put into Blood.
As for the amount of time they're taking.... Well, they had to indiviually
approach the ADV cast. I don't think the dubbing will suck unless you
dislike the ADV dub (I happen to like the ADV dub).
And as for what people on AnimeonDVD say....
Look, they've been bitching repeatedly over the ADV DVDs despite the
fact that THEY'RE NOT THAT BAD. They are an extremely hard audience
to please. I think there has been some very valid criticism about the
overlays, but I also think many of the complaints about the video
quality are pretty anal. In sum, I wouldn't expect animeondvd.com to
be pleased with anyless less than something in the same caliber as
the R2 DVDs.
