yes. anime cartoon international are bootleggers. their 'archive of studio 
ghibli' box set is creating quite a stir right now.

however, gold-backed DVDs is not an indication of bootleg material. dual 
layer DVDs are always gold colored. DVD-Rs have a dark purple or grey tinge.
