[EVA] Eva in Kare Kano

So I recently watched _His and Her Circumstances_, and I was amazed at
how bloody much of Eva there was in it.

I mean, forget the psychological introspection of the 2 main
highschool characters (hm, a black-headed boy with a bad family life,
and an aggressive red-head...) - KK is lousy with visual motifs. I
didn't keep a list but I noticed like 7 clear borrowings and
allusions, and curiously, some foreshadowings of FLCL.

I'm curious what connections I may have missed. Does anyone know any
good critical references on the topic or interviews touching on these
borrowings? (I saw a few assertions in the list archives that we ought
to consider KK to be 'Eva 2', but those are just fan assertions;

the borrowings/repetitions, but mentions them only very very briefly.)
