This is the full 10 minutes of the FUNimation panel that were devoted to Evangelion

I showed up an hour early to get a good spot; aisle seat, fourth row from the front.  Got to ask a question during the Q&A portion.

Further, at the end I managed to intercept new FUNimation Eva ADR director Mike McFarland and ask him some questions (I'm going to make a separate video about that though)

My own first Eva panel started right after that one; I met up with the girl that they hired to dress in a *production quality* Rei costume (her real name was Jess, she was nice) ; she said she'd help out at my panel by throwing Doritos bags into the audience as a floor prize...but then McFarland and she realized my panel was *immediately* after theirs and they needed to spend something like half an hour packing up all of their display stuff from their panel, so that didn't work out.

still, pretty cool.

Fun fact:  turns out FUNimation has to *individually* re-negotiate the distribution rights for each new Rebuild of Eva film as it comes, they didn't just lock in all four movies; this means there will be LONG delays between them.

I must say, I prefer the new Kaworu (he was Tony in Blue Gender, Tony sounds like Kaworu) over the Director's Cut Greg Ayers (I miss the original though).  I really like Greg Ayers but he didn't really do a great Kaworu (I'll also explain this in the next video)


It was pretty cool; I was "V, roaming industry reporter" ^_^
