How DARE they imply that masturbating to Asuka is somehow improper?! Why, that's condemning a third of the fanbase! (The others obviously choose Asuka.)

Likewise, I sincerely doubt that Shinji at that point had the capability to force himself on another human being. That's more interaction than he could really achieve.
