Who on earth else could she possibly be talking about? Perhaps it's her 
pale and wasted presentation, but the phrase "woman who doesn't bleed" 
seems to fit Rei like a glove. There is something alien about her 
appearance and manner, which again lack of menstruation would seem to 
fit. Once the line is pointed out, the conclusion seems fairly inescapable.

Incidentally, the first time though, I managed to snatch... absolutely 
nothing from Rei's monologue.
