Except the subtitles were translated wrong for that explanation too. :(
If the Rebuild (4.02?) EoE has a new licensee, I hope they get it right. The
accurate explanation needs thought as well, only hardcore fans probably
chewed what the Manga translation said over much.

Not really scary. I like the Hollywood stars voicing the Dreamworks
cartoons such as Moses, Sinbad etc. Also Robin Williams in any. It depends
on the voice & capability of speech for a character. You can't write-off a
celebrity if casting one would provide the ideal voice.
I can easily think of enough Hollywood voices to fill Eva's cast & be suited
to the characters. :)
Most anime English VAs probably have day/other jobs as well.

I always thought (your) "Codename V" referred to the pre-Sailor Moon manga
for Sailor Venus/Minako. ;)
