[EVA] Funimation issues C & D order for Eva 1.0

...I'm concerned at being so flippant about an English dub: the only way
for "Eva fandom" to grow and expand is with good-quality English dubs.
Given that the entire point of Eva is the entrenched fanbase and iconic
voice cast, it would be a major blow if they didn't reuse Tiffany Grant,
Spike Spencer, et al. Given the current stat of the anime industry I
think they would work for whatever FUNimation payed them, no bargaining
issues.
Nonetheless....those who prefer the subtitles, at this point, generally
know how to get their own downloads of the original Japanese
version....FUNimation here is living up to the euphamism "closing the
stable door after the horse has bolted"....Eva came out on DVD *6 months
ago*. There were 1200 seeders the next day. The fansubs have had months
to spread around. It's already done.
Still, those who earnestly prefer subtitles so much typically have the
wherewithal to get them online. I'm worried about a quality English dub
which will ***initiate a new generation of fans*** into the series.
