I sense a great deal of disturbance in the force.
My previous assumptions on Western/English licensing was that the licensor
would be financially smart and want to reuse as much of the original voice
cast as possible, which has proven to be a significant challenge in the
past with the movies and "director's cuts". My thoughts were that having
four separate dub productions over several years would be a logistical
mess and that the only viable way of preserving the original cast while
turning a sizable profit would be to license and dub the movies en masse.
Meaning we probably wouldn't get the lot until 2015 (lolwhut?).
Personally, I hope that Funi just tosses a bunch of money at Khara/Gainax,
produces a shit dub, and gets a decent R1 into our grubby hands. After
all, it's not like any of us are going to watch it in Dub anyway, AMIRITE?
