[EVA] Tangent: EoTV vs EoE (again?)

>Well, IIRC they are not: the tv ending shows the Instrumentality process
being completed and Shinji coming to the presented conclusions through it,
whereas the movie ending has Shinji refuse and abort the process and return
to reality.

..............You're kidding, right?

Both have similar scenes and similar or the EXACT SAME LINES (I can
copy/paste the dialog and time-stamp the similar scenes if it comes right
down to it).

Riddle me this: If Shinji was Instrumentalized in the EoTV ending, then why
does he feel the need to say "Goodbye mother" via the Tel-op,
something he *also
says* in EoE before parting ways with Yui?

If it's not the same ending just different ways of describing the events, (for
example: 25&26 can be seen as what's happening mentally while EoE could be
what's happening physically or metaphysically) then why is it in both takes
on Episode 25('), we see Asuka inside Eva-02 at the bottom of the lake while
Ritsuko and Misato are shot?

Just because a Cardass trading card or the Renewal booklets claim
Instrumentality in episode 26 was successful doesn't make it so. When you're
looking at written information about a series vs the actual series itself,
guess which one has higher authority, factually?
